I am a PADI and SSI Instructor with over 5 years’ experience both in my native Mexico and New Zealand. Since my first dive I knew that this was the profession for me. After just doing the Discover Scuba, I could not stop diving. It took me a year to get to a professional level, after that I started my own business in Mexico and that provided me with lots of different experiences with so many people from all nationalities and ages. A couple of years ago I settled in New Zealand and now I’m lucky enough to continue my passion here where the underwater world is still surprising me with different species and its amazing variety. I love being able to share my passion with those who want to try scuba diving and help them discover the beauty of the ocean. I am also passionate about my native Mexico and want as many people as possible to discover how diverse and magical the country and people are.
I am a PADI Divemaster and work behind the scenes to bring all our customers the best experience; whether it’s their first time diving or they are seasoned pros. We take pride in offering an exceptional service, people and locations which creates an unforgettable experience for all. I have worked alongside Uriel for many years operating Dive Jamanta in Mexico and then New Zealand whilst learning a lot about the marine environment and conservation. We work hard to protect the unique aquatic life that we enjoy on every dive and encourage others to do the same.
I come from a background in finance but made the life changing decision to leave my native Mexico for New Zealand just over a year ago as I have always loved the experiences that come from travelling, meeting all kinds of people, trying different foods and living in other cultures. After travelling extensively in Mexico, Central America and Europe life took me to New Zealand where I met Uriel and was introduced to the incredible world of diving. Since then I’ve been hooked and haven’t stopped diving. I have just become a PADI Divemaster and want to continue learning about how to preserve all the sea life which has amazed me while introducing it to others.
